This is the Aperion version of the classic Donald Byrd track, “Blackbyrd”
The numbers in the title of this piece of music refer to pitches on a 12 note chromatic scale. A 12 sided die was rolled to generate 4 random pitches to use for improvisation. Therefore, a Bb instrument like the Trumpet on this recording uses the pitches G-A-Bb-D.
